New Chapter, New Adventures: Raleigh, NC

Hello again!

Hello from another side of the world! Yupp, we're moving again. Now we're moving to USA. Surprise! Even I never imagine myself will move and living here. It's been a week we're here, still living in temporary housing from my husband company. Still trying to understand how to live here, adjusting new routine and activities. Basically restart our nomad life for the second time. I didn't realised that I really enjoyed my life back in Warsaw for almost 4 years, 3 years 8 months to be exact, until I arrived here.

Seems like driving a car is a must here. I walked a lot in Warsaw, and use every public transportation (tram, bus, and metro) but I can't do the same here in Raleigh. Back then, even we don't have car in Warsaw because their public transportation was so good! Our apartment close to bus stop, tram stop and also metro. Since we arrived here my husband is driving again. Meanwhile, my Indonesian driver license is expired, and I didn't drive for long time as well. I feel so doomed hahhahhaa...

It feels like our Jakarta life is back again, I can only grocery once a week and going out by car every time we need. Walking only seems possible inside our apartment complex, for outside I can say not really confidence to do it here. Another culture shock that we've found out during pre-trip on early October were the portion if the food was so big and the tip culture. I knew it before we came here, but experience it directly hits different hahahha.. I have to revive my healthy lifestyle and of course with excercises.

For now, we're still focus on to get the school and housing first, then think about another things later on. So far so good, despite the scary situation this week near our neighbourhood ㅠ.ㅠ Let's see how it goes after few months or year. Wish us luck! :)
